How to choose the correct colour themes for your wedding ?
This must sound really odd on a bridal planning and styling blog, but, I just have to share the passion I have for colours!
Having planned for many couples, regardless whether it is for their venue or bridal fashion, it is really quite obvious that their colour preference does play a pretty big part on their personality and characteristic.
Red
A colour of fire and blood, it is also associated with energy, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love. Pink colour in weddings also means beauty and love. Brides and grooms with charming, gentle and artistic personalities love this wedding colour.
Light red represents joy, sexuality, passion, sensitivity, and love.
Pink signifies romance, love, and friendship. It denotes feminine qualities and passiveness.
Dark red is associated with vigour, willpower, courage, deep passion and longing.
Yellow
The colour of sunshine. It’s associated with joy, happiness, intellect, and energy. Yellow produces a warming effect, arouses cheerfulness, stimulates mental activity, and generates muscle energy. Yellow is very effective for attracting attention, so use it to highlight the most important elements. Lemon yellow wedding palette can help create an optimistic and cheerful décor. Yellow and its related shades are fun wedding colours which are also rather easy to incorporate; they go hand in hand with so many other colours.
Light yellow is associated with intellect, freshness, and joy.
Gold evokes the feeling of prestige. The meaning of gold is illumination, wisdom, and wealth. Gold often symbolizes high quality.
Blue
Blue is the colour of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. Choose darker shades for adding masculinity to your wedding palette. Navy blue, for example, is ideal for beach weddings or for couples who are having a nautical wedding theme. Lighter shades of blue on the other hand symbolize tranquillity, peace and spirituality. Brides who choose Blue often tend to have a sensitive and emotional personality.

Purple

White

Honesty, stubbornness, shyness and seriousness are other traits that are conveyed by pearly white wedding colours.
Green
Green is the colour of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety. If you wish to infuse vibrancy, fun and freshness in your wedding, then turquoise is the colour for you. Yellow-green can indicate sickness, cowardice, discord, and jealousy.
Aqua is associated with emotional healing and protection.
Olive green is the traditional colour of peace.
